TOMODACHI (TOMO)

Tomo is settling into her new forever home.  She gives kisses when her ears are scratched and loves belly rubs.  She has also learned that when her new owner puts his shoes on, it means it's time for a walk!

MAGGIE

Maggie spent a long time with her foster family and decided that she just wasn't going to leave. She’s found a home that accepts her wandering ways and lets her be herself.  Maggie helps with the chores and keeps everyone smiling.

TAKARA

Takara decided that her foster home would make the perfect forever home! Takara is a very sweet, outgoing puppy. Some words to describe her personality would be: bright, happy, and cheerful. She loves everyone she meets and is a bonafide social butterfly. It is her personal goal to meet everyone she sees, whether they are human or canine. She greets everyone with a wagging tail and is very generous with her puppy kisses. She is the star of her puppy kindergarten class, most often learning any new command in 3 or less tries. She already knows sit, down, and come, and executes them flawlessly and with great enthusiasm. We are currently working on heel and she can do that offleash quite well (provided you have lots of treats)! She is very eager to please and uncharacteristically obedient for an Akita ;-). When you tell her not to chew on something, she actually will oblige (after you tell her twice so she knows you aren't going to change your mind)! She loves to cuddle at quiet times, but has her crazy energetic puppy moments too! Her best friend and babysitter is my adult Akita Kiba. She can most often be found hanging off of his jowls or snuggled up against him. 

AKIRA

Akira has also decided that her foster family is the best place for her to be forever.  She is already friends with resident Akita Koji, and she enjoys going to puppy obedience classes.  We look forward to watching this little lady grow up!

UPDATE: 2/20/12 Sweet Akira has gone over the rainbow bridge.  Her time with us was cut way too short and her family will miss her dearly. Her story reminds us all that it doesn't matter how long you let a pet into your heart.  They still take a piece of it with them when they go.

ZOEY

Zoey is full of love for her new family and they love her back!  We're so happy she's found a great home to grow up in.
